About this event

As part of the Department’s JustBe wellbeing programme, we are delighted to announce an information session for World Children’s day on positive parenting with Barnardos.

We will be joined by Niamh McCarthy of Barnardos, who will explore the topic of ‘positive parenting’ focusing on the wellbeing of children and their parents. As part of the session Niamh will talk to us about the connection of the heart, body and mind, understanding emotions like anxiety, how to talk about emotions and techniques on emotion regulation as well as long term strategies.

We would like to reassure all potential attendees that you will not be able to see who else is on the session. Additionally, to keep it confidential, the Q&A session will include an option to post your questions anonymously, and all questions will be put to Niamh via the wellbeing moderator. There will also be closed captions available for this event.
