Yoga can help you get stronger, more flexible and help you to relax, no matter what your current fitness level. This programme will introduce the most common yoga postures and some simple yoga breathing exercises in a way that's suitable for all abilities. You don't have to be fit, you don't have to be flexible and you don't have to worry about what you look like. Louise is an experienced, friendly yoga teacher who creates a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for everyone. The aim is to end each class feeling gently re-energised but relaxed.

The Introduction to Yoga programme is ideal for anyone who's ever wanted to try yoga, or get back to it, or struggled to follow a yoga video online. Louise has been teaching beginners for 10 years and understands many of the difficulties people have when they start yoga. She will gently guide you through each class, with straightforward instructions and a range of options for most postures. Each class will start with standing exercises before moving to kneeling or seated postures and then finishing with a relaxation session, usually lying down. If any of these positions cause you problems, let the teacher know at the start of the class and she will offer alternatives.

It's useful to have a mat, a cushion and a blanket before each class and if your balance is not good, please have a solid chair or wall nearby. Wear loose, comfortable clothing, close the door on the rest of the household for an hour, and take some time for yourself. You might be surprised, one hour of yoga can make a huge difference to how you feel."
