Other Information

For those who are staying on the route, we will transport one cabin size bag (Ryanair style) per person to their B&B daily. The bags must be labelled and it is your responsibility to bring them to the start of the walk on the first day and make sure they are in the van. You can collect your bag after the walk in Dingle. If you are requiring luggage transfers please email us and let us know where you are staying.

Proper walking shoes or boots with grip and support are necessary and walking poles are also useful. The first leg of the walk from Tralee to Camp village is particularly challenging. It starts as a road walk for 5/6 km and then it becomes a mountainous track. We are recommending that people start day 1 in old runners, and bring their boots to the start of the walk. We will put your boots in a bag with a label with your name on it . At the start of the mountain track, we will have your boots there to change into them. We can then bring your runners to the end of the walk where you can pick them up in Camp.

People without suitable shoes will not be allowed walk with the group.

There is 1 toilet stop every day but you should bring tissues and Hand Sanitiser for Au Natural Toilet breaks – particularly for day 1

Everyone should have their own day pack with a rain coat, a drink, snacks, and money (some cash for the small villages as they don’t take cards) and any first aid required. A hat and hopefully sun cream if the weather is good. You will be able to refill water along the way from the car support guides so only bring what you can carry comfortably (no need for 2 litres!!!)

This is a tough walk and people need to be able to walk at a for 6/7 hours over 3 days (60kms total approx), but there is plenty of time and the evenings are long. No one will be left behind.

We recommend people park in The Brandon car park opposite The Brandon Hotel in the long term section. (3 Euros per day for Friday and Saturday, free on Sunday)

This is strictly an over 18s event and no dogs are allowed on the walk.
