Kickstart Your Creativity - Multimedia Masterclass with Róisín de Buitléar

This class is aimed at artists working in any media, and not necessarily glass based. The class will last 3 hours with an outdoor field trip, group work and personalised tutorials. By the end of the class participants are expected to have a series of directions to follow to generate new ideas in their personal work.

Róisín de Buitléar is a visual artist, educator and curator. She has worked with glass since 1982, drawing inspiration from her cultural heritage. She has site-specific installations in public buildings throughout Ireland. Her artworks are represented public collections in Ireland, Britain, Japan, France, China and the USA. Her recent work focuses on sound objects for exhibition and performance. CAUTION! Fragile Tradition in Transition a seminal exhibition focussing on traditions of cutting and engraving glass was shown at the National Museum of Ireland, where she was the inaugural Artists in residence for 2018. She won the Bonham's Special mention at Venice Glass Week 2019, has been selected for the European Glass Context exhibition in Denmark.
