Event description

Description

“This Dublin-based synth-punk sextet have earned a formidable reputation as bona fide party starters, with their banging sets consistently lighting up stages across the country..”

Hot Press Magazine

King Bones close out an excellent year with a headline gig at Whelans of Wexford Street on Sunday December 23rd. Special guests on the night are Exiles & Jamie Adam. The band have completed a spectacular summer of festival performances at Forbidden Fruit, Vantastival, Castlepalooza & BD Festival along with an EP launch at Bello Bar in May and an August headline at the Workman’s Club. They also released the anthem Party Animals which received national and regional radio attention in 2018 with continuous plays on RTÉ 2FM, WLRFM, 98FM, RTÉ 2XM, 8 Radio, C103, 96FM, FM104, KCLR 96FM and Radio Nova.

Hot Press picked live favourite Party Animals as Tracks of the Fortnight, appeared in the feature film Metal Heart and was chosen for the Forbidden Fruit festival vinyl LP. For the Party Animals video, King Bones enlisted director Max Carpio to help them create an epic 24 hours in the life of 2 best friends in Barcelona, shot entirely on mobile phones resulting in a heady and heartwarming adventure around the city.

"Party Animals is a dazzling sonic number brimming with infectious grooves slapping and weaving between shimmering synths and gritty guitar injections"
