This year's four finalists will present their research on
Bridget Keown - "In the midst of the Trouble area during rebellion": Gender and Trauma on the Homefront of the Easter Rising
Meadhbh Murphy - "Anat-imals": the relationship between Irish surgeon-anatomists and animals from the early seventeenth century to the passing of the 1832 Anatomy Act
Cathal O'Connor - From Cork to Calcutta to Liverpool: Colonel Charles Donovan (1863-1951), the Irish Doctor who unravelled the mystery of leishmaniasis in India
Shelby Zimmerman - "The Doctor Did Not Ask My Permission": The Experience of Dying in the South Dublin Union Through the Case of Peter O'Neill"
The presentations will be followed by a recepetion at which the winner will be announched.
