Event description

Description

Last year over 30 people signed up for this programme. The goal of this programme is to enable people who know how to cycle to build up their endurance to such that they will be able to complete a 40k cycle.

Couch to 40k training sessions are scheduled for Monday nights (excluding Bank Holidays). Your first session on Monday, April 16th, will be an easy session and participants need have no fear of being left behind. Learn how to cycle in a group and enjoy the weekly sessions as you build your stamina. Make new friends and have fun as you work towards the cycling in the Castle to Castle 40k.

A properly working bike. You need to have your brakes and gears fully working and your tyres correcly inflated. Our Ride Leader cannot dedicate his time to fixing participants' bicycles on the night. Bring a spare tube and a pocket pump, a rain jacket and a drink. Helmet wearing is MANDATORY for all training spins. No helmet, no spin. This will be strictly enforced. Hi viz is not mandatory but we recommend that you wear bright coloured clothing.
