Relax, Socialise, and Create at our Landscape in Oil Classes for Beginners in our well equipped Drumshanbo studios. This is a 12 hour course over 6 consecutive Thursday evenings
Experienced Artist and Tutor Peter McSweeney will guide you through the classes, helping and encouraging you to develop your own interests and style.
Week 1: Materials and the basic colour palette for oil painting. Tonal value sketch: Preparation for the painting.
Week 2: Project 1: An Evening Sky.
Week 3: Continuation of An Evening Sky using a brush.
Week 4: Project 2: Seascapes. Monochrome underpainting.
Week 5: Background and base layer of foreground.
Week 6: Second layer: Clouds, addition of shoreline in foreground, highlights
