Event description
A humourous look at mothers, sons, ghosts, and spit-polished second-hand shoes... With Aisling O'Neill and Ruth Hegarty

About this Event

In keeping with the Gap Arts Festival's policy of encouraging artists and developing new work, Last Orders First is a full-length play by award-winning author Garrett Keogh.

Live performance has been at the heart of the Gap Arts Festival since it began in 2011, and this rehearsed reading continues this tradition in these challenging times.

Back-grounded by daily life in 'The Market’, the warren of flag-stoned lanes off Moore Street, where the ILAC shopping centre is now, this is a quirky sharp-tongued impression of the community who lived there passing on their dealers' skills, mother to daughter over three generations.

Two stars of RTE's Fair City, who live locally, Ruth Hegarty and Aisling O'Neill, join Garrett in this rehearsed reading.

There are a limited number of socially distant seats available. Admission €10 plus booking fee.

Please be aware of the start times: Friday 7pm, Saturday 1pm.

Note: For the safety and well-being of artists, staff, volunteers, participants and audience, the Gap Arts Festival follows all Covid protocols. We respectfully ask that you do so too. Please wear your mask.

Supported by the Arts Council, and Wexford County Council.
