SFI research centres Lero, Connect and Insight will launch a €4.2 million collaboration with leading companies in autonomous systems.

About this Event

Lero, the Irish Software Research Centre, will host the launch of a Science Foundation Ireland supported €4.2m research collaboration on blended autonomous vehicles.

As part of the programme, researchers from Irish academia, global automotive and Irish firms will work together on key international challenges facing the development of autonomous vehicles.

Eleven companies will partner with researchers from world-leading SFI research centres Lero, Connect and Insight on a variety of autonomous systems projects across the automotive, industrial and agricultural sectors.

The Ministerial launch takes place at the Glucksman Library, University of Limerick, on Wednesday, October 2 at 9am.

The launch will be followed by a series of panel discussions on autonomous vehicles, their application domains and the challenges associated with their development, integration and introduction.
