About this event
Construct Innovate (www.constructinnovate.ie) is Ireland's new national research centre for construction technology and innovation, coordinated by University of Galway and supported by Enterprise Ireland.
The Centre will be launched on 9th December 2022 and membership officially opened to companies in the construction and built environment sector - who are core to Construct Innovate's vision.
The vision for Construct Innovate is to make Ireland a global research and innovation leader for sustainable construction and built environment technology. Stakeholders with an interest in the development of construction technology expertise in Ireland, will drive the research programme of the Centre.
Construct Innovate brings together 22 multidisciplinary research groups across 5 partner institutions (University of Galway, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, University College Cork and Irish Green Building Council). This partnership brings together a critical mass of over 300 researchers active in construction-related research.

1.30pm: Panel discussion ‘Fostering innovation in Ireland's construction sector: Challenges and opportunities’ including Prof Gordon Masterton (University of Edinburgh), Ms Susan McGarry (Ecocem), Ms Sarah-Jane Pisciotti (John Sisk & Son), Mr PJ Rudden (Construction Sector Group).
2pm: Official opening of membership process – Dr Magdalena Hajdukiewicz , University of Galway and Construct Innovate.
2.10pm: Light lunch and networking followed by tours of facilities.
