Event description

Description

We've voted...Now we do the work to try and ensure passports don't have to be produced for anything to do with abortions again.

This workshop, facilitated by Mairead Enright, Fiona De Londras, Ruth Fletcher and Vicky Conway, will provide an opportunity to think collectively about the forthcoming legislation on abortion in Ireland. While the legislation is unlikely to be published until September it will be very beneficial to consider in advance of that what the issues of concern to various groups are, how legislation should address these and how we should engage with legislators during the legislative process. Our intention is that through facilitated discussion, with diverse expertise on hand, we will all be empowered to actively work towards ensuring Ireland passess the best version of this legislation that it can.

The event is aimed at groups working in the repeal space, those likely to be working with the legislation in the future, policiticians and their advisors, journalists interested in understanding the process better.
