Description

Teenline Ireland presents "Lets Tackle Teens in Crisis".

Today, at least 1 in 5 teenagers will face issues including social media bullying, anxiety and depression. This talk aims to inform parents of these challenges and provide guidance should your child be affected by them.

This important night has been arranged in conjunction with 4 local sports clubs in the area including Dundrum FC, Leicester Celtic FC, Broadford Rovers FC and Ballinteer St John's GAA Club who together want to promote the POSITIVE BENEFITS FROM PLAYING AND BEING A MEMBER OF A SPORTS CLUB.

Our speakers include;

  • Dr Harry Barry is a leading Irish author on mental health and has written two books on this issue. He is medical doctor based in County Louth, and has extensive experience in his practice of dealing with issues such as depression, addiction and anxiety. Dr Barry will explain some of the issues facing teenagers today and how to spot, treat and hopefully avoid them altogether. He will also be available for Q & A’s at the end of our talk.
  • Ms Maureen Bolger founded Teenline Ireland following the tragic suicide of her son. Teenline is a non-profit organisation offering an anonymous non judgemental call centre for young people aged between 13-19 years-old.

This is a URGENT issue and we would encourage ALL parents/guardians to attend. Tickets are limited to this FREE talk, at St Attracta's School, Meadowbrook, Dundrum on Wed 21th Feb @ 7.30pm. Please reserve your place now by clicking REGISTER now:
