Bluebird Care Host Free Dementia Talk

About this Event

In Ireland, over 55,000 people have dementia and according to recent statistics, 4,000 people are diagnosed with the disease each year.

Dementia affects nearly every family, community and town across the country.

Bluebird Care Ireland invites you to join them as they launch their Understand, Respect and Respond with Bluebird Care campaign, in support of the HSE’s Dementia: Understand Together.

From 24 April – 10 May Bluebird Care will host a roadshow of community talks across Ireland to create a space for communities to come together to learn more about dementia.

These free community awareness talks will inform you of the facts about dementia and answer any questions you may have about the disease, because an informed community is an empowered community.

Together we can understand dementia, respect those with the a dementia diagnosis and their carers, and respond to their needs in a respectful and supportive way.

The talk will be co-delivered by local awareness ambassadors from the HSE Understand Together campaign, members of Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland and Bluebird Care – sharing the facts about dementia and helping people support people with dementia in their local community.
