Bluebird Care Dementia Talks

About this Event

UNDERSTAND, RESPECT AND RESPOND WITH CARE

In Ireland, over 55,000 people have dementia and according to recent statistics 4,000 people are diagnosed with the disease each year.

Dementia affects nearly every family, community and town across the country.

Bluebird Care invites you to join them at their 'Understand, Respect and Respond with Care' Dementia Talks, in support of the HSE's Dementia: Understand Together campaign.

Due to the overwhelming success of the first phase of Dementia Talks and with over 97% of previous attendees saying they would recommend these talks to a friend, family member or colleague leading homecare provide Bluebird Care are running a second phase of Dementia Talks from the 10th of October to the 15th of November across Ireland.

Our aim is to create a space for communities to come together to learn more about dementia and we invite you to join us so you can find out how you can best support those living with dementia in your local community.

This talk will inform you of the facts about dementia and answer any questions you may have about the disease, because an informed community is an empowered community. Together we can understand dementia, respect those with the disease and respond to their needs in a respectful and caring way. The talk will be given by local awareness ambassadors from the HSE Understand Together campaign, Alzheimer's Society of Ireland and Bluebird Care.
