An evening of poetry, music and conversation exploring the power of poetry to provide solace and insight into the experience of serious illness and loss. Hosted by author & former TD Liz McManus.

The first part of the evening will include readings of their own work by leading poets Jane Clarke, Katie Donovan and Geraldine Mitchell as well as from the work of the late Shirley McClure. This will be followed by a moderated panel discussion, including Clinical Psychologist & Mindfulness Teacher Dr. Susan Delaney, to consider the role of poetry and creative expression in supporting people through serious illness and life’s inevitable losses.

The programme will be interspersed with music performed by acclaimed musicians Eamon Sweeney and Cormac Breatnach.

All funds raised will go to Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services - Blackrock Hospice.
