Lighthouse Illumination Cruise

Our popular evening 'Lough and Lighthouse Illumination Cruises' return this August.

***DEPARTING GREENCASTLE AT 7.45PM AND GREENORE AT 8.05PM***

The iconic Haulbowline Lighthouse will be illuminated, at 9.30pm from August 1st creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene that will light up the night for miles around. This years illumination will be even more special with the Lightouse being flooded in 'Blue Light' as a tribute to all frontline and care workers.

For those who wish to enjoy a close up view of this unique event, we’re offering you the chance to cruise even closer than last year, to within 400 meters of the lighthouse aboard the Carlingford Lough Ferry.

These unique evening cruises will commence with a trip up along Carlingford Lough with an onboard audio tour. We then turn and cruise outbound towards the Lighthouse. We arrive to the Lighthouse just as it lights up, on so you're guaranteed to have front row seats for this special event!

Guests will enjoy live music onboard under the light of Ireland's only illuminated Lighthouse. Tickets are limited so book early!

Please read our onboard COVID safety guidelines noted below prior to booking and arrive 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE AT TERMINAL.

Boarding at Greencastle Terminal at 7.45pm and Greenore Terminal at 8.05pm.

Cruise Duration: Approximately 2 hours

The following COVID restrictions are in place for your safety and comfort:

• Passenger numbers are strictly limited to allow for safe social distancing
• A one way traffic flow system is in place on the upper deck areas
• Signage and floor markings are in place to guide passengers onboard
• Passengers are allocated positions on the vessel and are required to remain within this position for the duration of the cruise.
• Children are NOT permitted on the upper deck and must remain with their parents while onboard.
• Hand sanitiser units are provided onboard the vessel for passenger use
• Onboard Toilet facilities are available - We request that passengers limit the use of these facilities where possible
