Listening is the Business
Thu 12 May 2016, 19:30 – 21:30 IST
We all like to be asked our opinion about something, not just whilst in work but in a social environment too.
Is it because we feel excluded from the conversation? Ignored, belittled - not important enough to be considered worthy enough of a contribution to the debate. We want to be heard, to feel wanted, included.
When was the last time you listened properly to your people so that they feel valued?
This workshop will help encourage employees to come forward with new ideas based on a renewal of enthusiasm and greater engagement, leading to better productivity.
- How to actively listen
- Pitfalls of not listening
- What can happen if what you heard is not what was said
- Where the Talking Shop stops and the Listening Store begins
- Learn how to build and gain trust
- Learn how to empathise not sympathise
- Spare me from email overload
- Body Language – reading the signs
- Greeting or Meeting?
- Ignore me at your cost
- Profit from renewing the conversation
