Tá áthas orainn cuireadh a thabhairt duit chuig 'Litríocht am lóin,' ócáid idirnáisiúnta litríochta a bheidh ar siúl Dé Céadaoin, 31 Iúil ó 1-2 i.n.

Bígí linn i Leabharlann Uí Chriagáin, DCU Campas Naomh Pádraig, chun aithris filíochta a chloisteáil ón scríbhneoir cáiliúil Áine Ní Ghlinn, an file Freaslannach Janneke Spoelstra agus an slamfhile Dáire Ní Chanáin. Beidh Réaltán Ní Leannáin, Scríbhneoir Cónaithe DCU, ina Bean a' Tí.

Tá an t-imeacht saor in aisce agus beidh sólaistí ar fáil - díreach cláraigh do fhreastal anseo!

Tá ‘Litríocht am lóin’ urraithe ag Ollscoil Chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath agus Fiontar agus Scoil na Gaeilge.

Aithneoidh daoine Janneke Spoelstra ó Lá Idirnáisiúnta na mBan 2017. Aithriseoidh sí a cuid filíochta i bhFreaslainnis, mionteanga de chuid na hÍsiltíre atá gaolta le SeanBhéarla. Beidh leagan Gaeilge dá dánta á n-aithris chomh maith.

Beidh an slamfhile agus tuairisceoir le Nós, Dáire Ní Chanáin, ag tabhairt cuairt scioptha ar Bhaile Átha Cliath don lá chun cúpla píosa a roinnt linn.

Ceapadh Réaltán Ní Leannáin ina Scríbhneoir Cónaithe Gaeilge ar champas Ollscoil Chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath i mbliana. Foilsíodh cnuasach filíochta léi, ‘Turas Ailse’, in 2011, cnuasach gearrscéalta ‘Dílis’ in 2015 agus ‘Cití na gCártaí’ in 2019.

We're delighted to invite you to 'Literature at lunchtime,' an international literary event which will be taking place on Wednesday, 31st July from 1-2 pm.

Join us in Cregan Library, DCU St Patrick's Campus, Drumcondra to enjoy poetry readings in Irish and Frisian. Popular writer Áine Ní Ghlinn, the Frisian poet Janneke Spoelstra and slam poet Dáire Ní Chanáin will recite their poetry. Réaltán Ní Leannáin, DCU's Irish language writer in residence, will be hosting the event.

The event is free and refreshments will be served - all you have to do is register your attendance here! This event is kindly sponsored by Dublin City University and Fiontar and Scoil na Gaeilge.

SPEAKERS:

Áine Ní Ghlinn is a lecturer, journalist and writer. She has written 28 books and she has won many prizes for her work. These include the CBI Fantasy Award, the Irish Book of Irish Year of the Year Award and the Irish Literacy Society's Book of the Year Award.

Many of you will remember Janneke Spoelstra from the International Women's Day events in 2017. She will recite her poetry in Frisian, a Dutch dialect which is related to Old English. Irish language translations of her poetry will also be recited.

The slam poet and Nós broadcaster, Dáire Ní Chanáin, will be paying a quick visit to Dublin to share some of her poetry with us.

Réaltán Ní Leannáin was appointed as DCU's Irish language writer in residence this year. 'Her poetry collection, 'Turas Ailse' was published in 2011, a short story collection, ‘Dílis’ in 2015 agus 'Cití na gCártaí' in 2019.
