Wired FM is hosting the inaugural Limerick Media and Arts Conference online on August 25 and 26, 2021. The Limerick Media and Arts Conference 2021 (LMAC), presented by Wired FM, is a two-day conference broadcasted via Zoom on August 25 and 26. The 2-day event will see a wide range of well-known names from the media-sphere in panel discussions, masterclasses, Q&As and workshops.
LMAC is a free event aimed at young Irish broadcasters, artists, content creators, film makers and journalists for discussions on creativity, criticism, production and innovation in media and arts, and some of the challenges facing students and graduates today. This years theme is THE REBOOT!
Speakers and panelists include; Donie O'Sullivan (CNN), Malachy Browne (New York Times), Aoife Barry (TheJournal.ie) Rob O’Hanrahan (Virgin Media) and Andrew Lowth (Newstalk), Dave Hanratty (No Encore), Zara Hedderman (RTE Arena/Totally Dublin/The Quietus), Aoife Nic Canna (DJ and Broadcaster), Lauren Whelan (Tik Tok), Craig Houlden (Anfield Agenda), Sophie La Touche (Spin Southwest/Fur Coat No Nickers), Cristín Leach (The Sunday Times), Owen Colgan (Hardy Bucks), Martin Beanz Warde (Comedian/TheHazBeanzShow Podcast), Nick Kelly (Film Director and Musican - http://nickkelly.ie/) and many, many more!
The event will take place virtually on August 25 and 26, with moderators, speakers and panellists joining via Zoom Webinar.
Limerick Media and Arts Conference is run by students for students.
