Connect - Communicate - Collaborate
Working together for a Sustainable Future
Do you want to take action for the environment? This gathering is the perfect opportunity to meet others who are interested in, and working for, positive change for our future.
Together we will share knowledge and experience, as well as learn more about engaging in climate dialogue, working to expand the conversation, and turning conversation into action. It's also a perfect introduction to Local Environmental Networks for those who are new to them. Everyone with an interest in climate, environment, and a sustainable future is welcome!
What will be happening at the event?
Hosted at the impressive Ballybay Wetlands Centre, the day will begin at 10.50am with a look at projects from Environmental Networks and other groups that can be replicated on a local level. Catherine O'Toole form the Irish Environmental Network will introduce work of local networks, including Transition Monaghan, Cavan Environmental Network and Public Participation Network, and Louth Environmental Network. The morning will also see an introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals, and we will wrap up with a Q&A with all speakers.
In the afternoon there will be a biodiversity workshop hosted by ecologist Billy Flynn from the Irish Wildlife Trust, exploring biodiversity and local actions that we can take to protect and create it.
