On day four (21 June) participants can opt to do the ICML MLA II examinations, but this is purely optional.


The venue

The course takes place here at T.E. Laboratories (TelLab) in Tullow, County Carlow. TelLab is Ireland’s only specialist accredited machinery lubrication oil analysis laboratory, so our venue gives course participants a unique opportunity to see a real oil analysis laboratory in action. TelLab is an Engineers Ireland approved trainer and this course provides over 20 CPD hours.


The tutor

The course is presented by Martin Williamson, Director, KEW Engineering. Martin began his maintenance career in the South African mining industry as a mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Cape Town, before specialising in oil analysis tribology with Pall Filtration and Entek IRD. Having moved on to establish his own consultancy, KEW Engineering, in 2005, over the past decade, Martin has been presenting training classes and undertaking consulting projects on an international level on behalf of Noria Corp and other key clients such as BP, Dow Corning, Marathon Oil and Cargill as well as working on various related ISO working groups and the International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML).

Cost

The standard rate for this three-day course is €1,150, including all course notes, lunches, tea/coffee breaks, etc. However, if you book before Friday 5 April, we are offering it at a Early Bird rate of €1,000. The course fee includes all course notes, lunches, teas/coffees etc. over the three days. The optional ICML exam on the fourth day is an additional cost, payable directly to ICML.

Organising your ICML exam

You can take your purely optional ICML exam at T.E. Laboratories on the fourth day - 21 April 2019. Register online for your MLA Level I exam at www.lubecouncil.org. The examination fee is €400, payable directly to ICML.
