Description
Made It are proud to announce our first talk 'How To Build An App'.
We’ll be looking at how you make a successful app, covering everything from the idea to development, distribution to winning awards. To help us delve into the world of app development we’ll have short talks and a Q&A panel discussion with some of Dublin’s tech community which will cover the following areas:
Concept - Backend/System Development - Frontend Development/Visual Storytelling - Distribution & Platforms - What makes an App award-winning
Giving us their valuable insight we have:
Shane Linehan - COO behind Bodytonic’s Doortonic app
Tony Ennis - CTO at The Summit and developer of The Summit app
Conor Winders - Developer of the Appy award-winning ‘Life in the Womb’ app
Clare Dillon - Head of Developer and Platform Group at Microsoft Ireland
Dr. Susan McKeever - Lecturer in the School of Computing in DIT and judge at the Appys 2013
Each speaker will take to the stage to give an overview of their experience in the world of app development before sitting down for a Q&A session.
Then to round out the evening we'll have a talk ('We Made It') covering the whole life-cycle of a project from the developers of 'The Lonely Beast' app James Kelleher and Simon Judge.
Our aim for the night is to demystify how you bring an idea from just that to a successful end product. It will be informal, anecdotal, engaging and inspiring. We look forward to seeing you there!
