Making Sand The Show with Padraig Jack

With his song 'Making Sand' reaching Number 1 in the RTE Radio Airplay Chart in June 2022, Padraig Jack could not have hoped for a better way to announce his new show.

Making Sand The Show features native, bilingual Aran islands singer/songwriter Padraig Jack who presents a live music show featuring songs in Gaelic and English. Including songs from his 'RTE Album of the Week' album 'Making Sand' along with storytelling and songs ranging from the sean-nós (old-style) tradition to contemporary folk, Padraig will explore what it is about the Aran islands and the Irish language that has inspired and influenced his music.

Having toured and recorded with some of Irish music’s most notable artists such as Damien Dempsey, Sharon Shannon and Foster and Allen, Padraig Jack has been described by Hot Press magazine as "One of Ireland's most exciting emerging artists" and his shows demonstrate his amazing voice, storytelling ability and heavyweight songwriting talents.

This show on his home island is not to be missed and will feature guest musicians and artists throughout the summer.
