Event Details

"Some of the most comforting words in the universe are 'me too.' That moment when you find out that your struggle is also someone else's struggle, that you're not alone, and that others have been down the same road." – Anonymous

Group Counselling/Therapy provides you with a safe space to come together with others, to explore and reflect upon whatever issues are of concern to you and them.

Who is it for?

If you’re a man experiencing domestic or family violence, you need to know: you are not alone. Husbands, partners, sons, fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, nephews, friends, neighbours and colleagues from all walks of life and all ages can be affected.

You may feel powerless, worthless, depressed, lonely and isolated. Sometimes guilt, shame and despair are present. You may have problems with sleep or concentrate on tasks at work.

Remember that no one deserves violence. Domestic and family violence is against the law and is a crime. It’s not your fault and you’re not to blame for what is happening.

Open Doors Counselling and Psychotherapy

At Open Doors Counselling & Psychotherapy, we make use of integrative therapy to tailor our service specifically to each individual.

Integrative counsellors focus on tailoring the therapy to their clients, and not the client to the therapy.

By combining elements from different schools of psychological theory and research, we offer you a flexible and inclusive approach to treatment.

Group Counselling/Therapy provides you with a safe space to come together with others, to explore and reflect upon whatever issues are of concern to you and them.

The experience can be as rewarding as individual therapy.

Confidentiality is a central part of group work and is required for what is revealed during sessions, from everyone.

Many people experience mental health difficulties, but few speak openly about them. Often, you may feel like you are the only one struggling.
