Event description
A manual handling course especially designed by Early Years Education Providers for Early Years Practitioners

About this event

Back injury was the most commonly occurring occupational injury prior to the introduction of mandatory Manual Handling Training for all employees. Since its inclusion as a mandatory course there has been a substantial reduction in the number of such injuries.

3EY provides a manual handling course that meets the mandatory requirements and addresses the specific issues of safely lifting and moving babies, toddlers and children. The course content includes, anatomy, workplace health and safety, law, ergonomics, common manual handling injuries & practical tips for effective manual handling.

This course is currently online due to COVID-19 restrictions. It takes place for 2.5 hours on Zoom and a follow up practical assessment of 15 minutes. This will be arranged following the online training and may require the attendee to travel to meet the trainer at a agreed location. Following the online training a short quiz will be emailed to attendees and must be returned. A certificate of completion will be sent to all educators, and to their employers if requested.

Participants on our recent course reported that -

100% of participants felt that the trainer achieved the training objectives

All participants reported that class interaction and participation was encouraged

78% regarded the training as excellent, 22% regarded it as good

Was good and relevant, I think it covered everything we need to know for working in the childcare sector.
