Autumn Marathon 2022…..Are you in?
The biggest challenges reported by menopausal runners are –
Energy – Every run feels like a struggle, you are not motivated to get out and train the way that you used to.
Injury – Seems like you are injured nearly every week and don’t even start on how long recovery takes
Weight gain / body shape changes – Its uncomfortable to exercise, you don’t feel like yourself and it feels like you are gaining weight overnight.
When your pace slows and it’s a struggle to stay with your running friends, you don’t want to race because you are so ‘slow’ and as much as you love running with your group its hard to turn up to train in case you must stop.
How do we train now? Do we do more training? What about food sensitivities? Why am I wrecked after runs? What foods will help me? How do I get to the start line injury free?
Come and join out the answers to these problems and more. Zoom meeting for all peri / post-menopausal runners who are going to run the Dublin City Marathon in October 2022 or another autumn marathon.
