About this Event

“Combining choreographic gesture with rhetoric, earthly robustness with spiritual uplift, Marc Coppey’s playing is overwhelming in its jubilant vitality.” (Télérama)

"Of Finghin Collins little needs to be said that has not been said before: he is exceptionally fluent, exceptionally intelligent, exceptionally sensitive” (International Record Review)

The acclaimed French cellist, Marc Coppey, is a passionate musician who has extensively explored the chamber music repertoire with some of the world’s finest musicians. On this occasion he joins forces with Irish pianist, Finghin Collins, who equally enjoys a flourishing international career as a soloist and chamber music partner. Festival audiences can look forward to music by Brahms, Martinů, Beethoven, and French composers Claude Debussy and Nadia Boulanger performed by this dynamic duo. This special collaboration between one of Ireland’s finest musicians and this engaging French cellist at perennial favourite, Killruddery House, is bound to be a 2019 Festival highlight.
