Sandra Coffey is a media publicity mentor who has 17+ years experience as a journalist and editor. She began her career as a junior reporter and from there progressed to being a magazine editor, senior reporter who covered hard news and courts to deputy editor and editor.

Sandra has covered many major events and her first one was as a newbie reporter when the 9/11 attacks happened.

She has written for newspapers and magazines in Ireland and the UK including the Western People, Sligo Weekender, Galway Advertiser, Irish Examiner, Irish Independent, Daily Mail, and the Irish Post. She has appeared on television stations RTE 1 and 2 and has contributed to radio shows on RTE, Newstalk, Galway Bay FM and Mid West Radio.

She is a contributing writer for Prowly (a resource for PR professionals), has contributed to articles on Medium and has advised and run PR events for various councils.

She set up and launched Galway's first Oscar Wilde Festival and remains an avid fan of the writer.

Sandra is also a fiction writer and was previously nominated for the Irish Short Story of the Year at the Bord Gais Energy Awards.

Her book on media publicity from a journalist's point of view will be published next year.
