Double, double, toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble. It’s not just a bunch of Hocus Pocus!
This Halloween, Mean Screen brings you a screening of the irresistibly silly and spooky comedy Hocus Pocus! Join us on 19 October for an intimate screening in The Liquor Rooms and a night of ghoulish fun and frolics where you can let your inner child run amok, amok, amok, amok, amok!!!!!! Fall under the spell of a buck-toothed Bette Middler, drink potions, eat Halloween candy and dress as your favourite witch with the help of our witchylicious mask and wand make-and-do stand.
She's a Wench! Trollop! Buck-toothed, mop-riding firefly from hell! Bette Midler stars as Winifred, matriarch of the Sanderson sisters. Bette, Kathy Najimy (Mary) and Sarah Jessica Parker (Sarah) are witches revived from the dead after 300 years when ‘Max’ the silly virgin lights the black flame, thus allowing the three crones to return to earth and suck the life out of all the children in Salem.
The sisters have one night to make sure they stay alive but Max the kid from Eerie Indiana, his precocious cutie little sister (a young Thora Birch) and Thackery Binx the talking cat are hell-bent on saving Salem before dawn. Boo, let the witches live!
Hop on your broom (or vacuum) and join us for this ridiculous Halloween romp.
This is a kids film for adults screening and is strictly over 18s.
