Meath Street Public Realm Improvements: Businesses Information Meeting
Event Information
About this Event
Dublin City Council is currently designing a new look public realm for Meath Street in The Liberties.
The ambition of the scheme is to create more generous pedestrian space on the street, facilitating greater street activity and markets and stimulating new economic activity on the street, and to upgrade paving and lighting along the street, adding street trees, landscaping and seating. Changes to parking and loading provision are proposed, together with measures to make the street safer and easier to use for pedestrians and cyclists.
A formal planning permission for the scheme, known as a Part 8 Application, will be sought in summer 2021. In advance of this, the Council is looking for the initial views and feedback of businesses and residents on the scheme. Two online public meetings are proposed to explain the plans and gain further feedback from the public.
Meetings will be held via Zoom with a link emailed to participants ahead of each event.
