Medieval Street Life: York

Friday 23rd February 2018, 4.30pm-7.30pm

The Huntingdon Room, King's Manor, York

These public talks and discussion look at how medieval people lived, worked, and prayed in the streets of York. Talks will be given by James Davis (Queen's Univ. Belfast) on medieval street life and Stefania Merlo Perring (Univ. of York) on the York Minster Close. There will also be discussion about the historic town atlas for York, led by Sarah Rees Jones (University of York).

There will be a free wine reception and canapes.

The event is preceded by a public walking tour of York led by Peter Addyman from 2.30pm. Since numbers are more limited for this walking tour, please sign up separately at Eventbrite (Medieval Street Life: York Walking Tour)
