All West Cork tourism providers are invited to attend the ‘Meet & Greet’ evening at The Maritime Hotel, Bantry, at 8pm on Wednesday, January 28th.
This event will be free of charge and we invite attendees to bring along promotional material with them, registration is essential for this event as entry is limited.
Following the success of the West Cork Tourism Assembly in October 2014, this event hopes to create another chance to come meet and greet all stakeholders of tourism in West Cork. The huge attendance at October’s meeting demonstrated that there is a real appetite for developing a coherent regional approach to promoting tourism in West Cork. Now we’re giving tourist providers a chance to network and to learn from some of the most successful tourism projects working in Ireland today. Loop Head and Failte Ireland will be heading to Bantry on January 28th as Cillian Murphy of the hugely successful Loop Head Tourism group and Josephine O’Driscoll of Failte Ireland share their insights with West Cork tourism businesses.
Most importantly you the tourism stakeholder will be able to network and greet other tourism providers, it is an essential event to gather information about activities, festivals, accommodation and services that will be on offer for our visitors in 2015.
Who should attend?
- Accommodation providers
- Heritage groups
- Restaurateurs and bar owners

In 2013, the Loop Head was named as the Irish Times' Best Place to Holiday in Ireland – Cillian will be sharing his insights on how that success was achieved.
- Find out about the progress and future of the Wild Atlantic Way and potential opportunities for you as a tourism stakeholder - from Josephine O'Driscoll (Fáilte Ireland)
- You will hear about the new Tourism West Cork Steering Group that was established as a result of the West Cork Tourism Assembly - and how you can get involved to help promote West Cork as a unique tourism experience.
- The more people who attend, the more support West Cork tourism will receive in the future
We would like to sincerely thank Elaine Dempsey and our partners in the Maritime Hotel Bantry for their generosity in facilitating our event.
