Meet Hanze
Event Information
About this Event
There are now over 1200 Irish students registered on undergraduate and Master's degree programmes, taught through English, in Dutch universities, many of which are studying in the employment-focused Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS)
One of the leading UAS is Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen. Hanze experienced a 48% rise in the number of Irish students for 2020-21!I
Hanze is now offering to Irish students, their families, teachers and Guidance Counsellors, an opportunity to meet them and find out about their programmes, and life in Groningen. Importantly, several Irish students (currently studying in a variety of subject areas in Haze), will be available for a chat on the night.
Speakers will outline the benefits of an education at a UAS, including:
- a hands-on and practical learning approach and a teaching/learning style that encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning
- an admission procedure that is not based on points or grades
- low costs (inc generous student finance
- an excellent grounding for the globalised employment markets of the 21st century.
Of course, the stars at these events are Irish students already studying in the Netherlands, who share their experiences and challenges. They are the real experts!
