Davina Devine Is Set to SPICE up her Celebrations of 20 years of ‘Thursty Thursdays’

Davina Devine’s 20 Year Drag Jubilee is taking over The George next Thursday night (December 8th) with ‘Sporty Spice’ Mel C from The Spice Girls as her all-star guest of honour. Expect a party packed with the finest 90s/00s bangers alongside games, prizes, and a festive tipple with Baileys. There’s no reason why you wouldn’t ‘wannabe’ there and witness THE campest Christmas party in Dublin.

Sashaying back to 2002, when Nelly and Kelly had an excel-related Dilemma while Gareth and Will were battling it out on Pop Idol, and Davina and The George were paving the way for the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland.

Davina was a pioneer in the campaign to create a safe place for the LGBTQ+ community to socialise and express themselves through performing and spectating drag. Twenty years on and the scene is thriving and The George continues to welcome new queens to their stage every week. This night is as much a celebration of the community as it is of Davina, commemorating the progress and elevation of the Irish scene over the past twenty years.

After two decades of slaying the stage, Davina has earned the right to icon status as one of Ireland's most recognisable drag queens & cabaret showgirls, performing all over Ireland and the world since 2002. The weekly host and headliner at Ireland's premier LGBTQ+ venue has hosted many high-profile acts over the last two decades such as The Saturdays, Kelis, Samantha Mumba and Katie Price to name a few.

Celebrate 20 great years of Drag & Davina Devine at the George with Baileys and ‘say you’ll be there’ on Thursday 8th December. Tickets are limited and are €20 each. Event commences from 9pm ‘til late.
