Cork City Partnership are holding a national conference:

Men’s Engagement – Using Community Development Approaches

on Thursday, 29th November at the Clayton Silversprings Hotel, Tivoli, Cork. Registration at 9.30am.

This conference offers an ideal opportunity to learn about different approaches on how best to engage with men in community based settings and to network with academics, development workers, volunteers and community group members. The event will also showcase examples of how CCP engages with men in Cork city through the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP)*.

  • Michael Mckenna, Work with Young Men Unit, Youth Action NI
  • Barry Sheridan, Irish Men’s Sheds Association

  • Catherine Mooney, South Dublin County Partnership
  • Mary McCarthy, Director Crawford Art Gallery
  • Adrian Sheehy, UCC directed researcher
