A panel of those personally affected, policy-makers, and practitioners will be speaking about the state of mental health in our country, specifically the Unifour region.

Speakers include:

  • Mr. James Estes, regional representative of Sen. Thom Tillis

  • Dr. Donna Fletcher of “A Caring Alternative” in Morganton

  • Mr. Randy Isenhower, Catawba County Commissioners Chairman and Partners Behavioral Health board member

  • Ms. Edie Raether, inspirational speaker and hypnotherapist (as featured on NBC, CBS!)

  • Ms. Kathryn Grandgenett, carer, Partners respite recipient, and Autistic Education Foundation board member (personal testimony; featured on WHKY)

Mr. Aaron Kohrs, MA (event organizer and facilitator), a local educator and advocate, will give a brief historical context of mental health evolution in America.

There will be a question-and-answer segment to follow talks and refreshments provided by PDQ. The Women’s Resource Center of Hickory will be present at the event with mental health resources.
