Event Information
About this Event
Information session:
This one-hour session on March 11th is an opportunity to meet MAP Programme Facilitators and to ask questions about the programme and what is involved.
About the Programme:
MAP is a 2-year mentoring programme that is evidence-based. MAP mentors work with students aged 10-16 years for two school years. MAP takes place at school, during school hours. MAP mentors engage with selected students to support and encourage them to think through and come up with ways in which they can develop a focused way of engaging in school. This process develops skills in students which they can use across their lives, such as thinking, problem-solving, patience and punctuality. This programme is funded for schools in the Blue Skies Initiative catchment area of Adamstown, Balgaddy & Clondalkin. MAP Mentors tend to be teachers or other school staff such as School Completion Coordinators and Project Staff.
