Learn how migraine affects people in the workplace and what can be done to help them

About this event

We are delighted to be joined by Elena Ruiz de la Torre, Executive Director of the European Migraine and Headache Alliance to speak about Migraine in the Workplace and what strategies employers and employees can use to help those living with the disorder

Elena will look at the results of the Migraine at Work Survey, a Europe Wide survey conducted by EMHA in 2018-2019, and speak about what the EMHA has developed as a result of the survey. Including the development of a Migraine-Friendly Workplace Kitemark and what a Migraine-Friendly Workplace will look like in the future.

Migraine is a complex neurological condition that affects over 500,000 people in Ireland. 14% of migraine sufferers are living with chronic migraine, experiencing migraine attacks 14 days or more per month. This chronic condition has a debilitating effect on people’s working and social lives.

Chronic migraineurs spend on average 19 hours per month in darkness or isolation.
