Easily make mindfulness part of your life with this six week course both for beginners and for those who already practise this invaluable life skill. People who practise mindfulness experience a range of benefits including

The course includes:

  • Mindfulness exercises and mindfulness techniques to use straight away
  • Discussions on mindfulness
  • Applying mindfulness to your daily life
  • Mindfulness CDs (incl. in fee)
  • Notes

Here's what happens in a typical class:

  • We begin with a short mindfulness practice.
  • The participants chat among themselves, in groups, about their experience with mindfulness during the previous week.
  • I lead a general discussion about our experience of mindfulness and answer questions.
  • We do another mindfulness practice.
  • I introduce a topic (such as mindfulness and stress, mindfulness and relationships, mindfulness at work). I give a presentation on the topic and we discuss it.
  • We finish with another mindfulness practice.
  • Participants receive handouts on the evenings' topics and these are also emailed to them.

Who is Padraig O'Morain?

I teach mindfulness and write about mindfulness. My books include Mindfulness of the Go and Mindfulness for Worriers. I began to practise mindfulness over 25 years ago and I have taught this beneficial and rewarding approach in the Republic of Ireland and the UK. My approach is to make mindfulness easy and accessible.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We are in Dublin city centre by the Lower Abbey Street Luas Stop. For parking you can use one of a number of car parks in the area. For those using the DART, Connolly Station is nearby.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Just yourself and a curious mind

Does the course involve yoga or physical exercises?

No. The course will help you benefit from mindfulness in your daily life. If you exercise or do yoga, though, you will get more from them by approaching them mindfully. However, you will also benefit if you're not an exercise or yoga person.

Who has attended this course previously?

A full range of participants including people in accountancy, administration, dancing, counselling, finance, fulltime home-making, teaching, nursing, food, retail, media and retired people. All have one thing in common - the desire to experience the benefits of mindfulness in their own lives.
