About this event

NEW COURSE - starts April 2023 - Mullingar.

Finding Peace in a Frantic World is an evidence-based programme that was developed by Professor Mark Williams at Oxford Mindfulness Centre.  This programme was designed to introduce people to a set of simple yet powerful practices that be be brought into daily life to help us to break the cycle of anxiety, stress, unhappiness and exhaustion. It helps us to reclaim our well-being as we try to keep up with the relentless demands of the modern world.

Jon Kabat-Zinn describes the course as ‘‘a coherent, compelling and common-sensical programme for anyone caring about his or her own health and sanity, especially in this increasingly fast-paced and, as they refer to it, frantic world.’’

Based on the core principles of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT),  the course is tailored to make the course accessible and effective for busy people. While MBSR and MBCT involve more intensive weekly sessions (2.5 - 3 hours) plus 1 hour daily home practice, Finding Peace invites 20 minutes daily home practice and each session weekly session is 75-90 minutes. The course fee is offered at €135 and includes the 6 weekly sessions, a course handbook, access to audio recordings and 50% discount on a discovering mindfulness full day retreat.

Take this course and learn practical ways to feel calmer and more present in your everyday life, be more compassionate and wise in work, relationships and in the choices we make to live as happily and healthily as we can.  Reclaim your well-being, today.

*Please note that the nature of mindfulness courses involves opening up to how we are relating to our minds and bodies. For this reason, if you are experiencing an acute episode of depression, recent loss or past history of traumatic stress, this course may not be suitable at this time.  Please contact me directly and we can discuss further, identiying options that may work best for you right now.
