Event description

Description

We invite you to join us as we launch History of Vaccines in Ireland, a public exhibition curated by RCPI Heritage Centre that looks at the rich history of vaccination in Ireland. The launch will be followed by a public lecture, with discussion between Prof Gerardine Meaney (UCD), Dr Donal Brennan (UCD) and Dr David Grimes (DCU), discussing public representations and imaginaries of medicine, from 19th century reactions to the smallpox vaccine to the controversy of recent years around the HPV vaccine.
