Following an open call to Kerry based instrumentalists to come and participate in a performance of Gavin Bryars’ seminal work.
About this event
This programme brings the hypnotic sounds of Ugandan composer Justinian Tamusuza and Tunde Jegede’s Dancing in the Spirit which started life indeed as a work for dance. Our Icelandic guest violinist gives the world premiere of a new version of her fellow Icelandic-based composer, Veronique Vaka’s Ofdune.
Following a call for participation and rehearsals on Valentia, Kerry based instrumentalists come and engage in the unique experience of participating in a rare performance of Gavin Bryars’ seminal, soulful work, Jesus’ Blood Never Failed Me Yet.
