About this event

National Bike Week 2022!!

National Bike Week 2022 is here and Monaghan County Council are delighted to offer you a series of FREE events that you can try out - from guided scenic E-Bike cycles for adults, or around the picturesque Sliabh Beagh and Glaslough, to family cycles to Rossmore Forest Park and free bike packs for children – there’s lots going on to encourage you to get on your bike this May!

As part of Monaghan County Council's comprehensive programme of cycling events across Bike Week we will be facilitating guided family cycles along Monaghan Greenway.

N.B.

** The cycle on Saturday May 14th will begin from the M-Tek 2 building on the Armagh road.

** The cycle on Sunday May 22nd will begin from Maurice Graham's at Coolshannagh Roundabout.

Both cycles will head down the greenway and all the way to Rossmore Park and do a cycle of the new cycle path at Rossmore. There will be a short break at Rossmore Park to allow families to enjoy a snack and a break, and then the cycle will continue back through the greenway and back to the starting point.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and all cyclists must wear a helmet and be able to cycle independantly.

Numbers for these events will be limited. Pre-registration is essential‼ This is a free event for all the family.
