Mondays at the Mess - talks and lecture series -

Next lecture taking place on Monday 2nd October at 11am - "All Quiet on the Southern Front: the South Circular Road on the eve of World War One" which gives a overview of social and economic life in the area based on the 1911 census and the subsequent years.

Lecturer: Cathy Scuffil, Historian-in-Residence with Dublin City Council - South Central Area.

Monday 6th November - 11am - "In Her Footsteps" delves into the interesting world of the famous (and not so famous) women who lived and worked in the historically rich South-East area of Dublin.

Lecturer: Maeve Casserly, Historian-in-Residence with Dublin City Council - South East Area.

Monday 4th December - 11am - Screening of Barracks Square Estate: Three Ages of a Place. A documentary by independant filmmaker Joe Lee about Richmond Barracks and the communities of Keogh Square, St Michael's Estate and Inchicore, followed by a panel discussion.

Screening and talk duration: approx 1 hr

Refreshments (included in ticket price) will be served in the Mess Café after the talk.
