About this event

I live in a beautiful field in West Cork with a river walk and lot of places to BE in nature. I have decided that it is time to invite pregnant and new mums to my home to let Mother nature herself teach us all how to be the best Mumas we can be.

This series of gatherings will address themes that matter. It is designed to be a space to find a little sanity amidst the madness and muddle that is parenting. My wish is that we can create a sense of safety and confidentiality. Each person will be listening to without judgement or a need to fix or advise.

I work as a Craniosacral therapist and something called an Integrated baby therapist. I came to this work out of my own insights into how my OWN birth has shaped my life. It is my experience that our first experiences make lasting impressions. With awareness and compassion we can all heal and be much healthier and happier.

It is one of my greatest joys to get curious with parents about their baby's gestures , cries and behaviour, to see what they may be attempting to express. My training as an inIntegrated Baby therapist is all about ‘ baby body language’. It is a way to compassionately be with a baby through play and other approaches to discover what the baby may want to complete from their birth. The parents and babies experience needs to be honoured and acknowledged.

I am becoming certified as an Aware parenting instructor too; a style of parenting that I first heard about 23 years ago. It is an approach that promotes attachment parenting and attuning to our child’s needs without punishment or time-out. Instead the wish is to be open to the underlying needs without the classic rewards and bribes! It is a respectful and emphatic approach that honours a child’s emotional intelligence. At the core of Aware parenting is the recognition of the healing effects of play, laughter, and crying in the context of a loving parent/child relationship.

Message me with your questions and a sliding scale is possible for those with a genuine financial need.
