This event features Dr. Kesiena Ebenade. Her talk is entitled "Becoming: A Transformational Approach of a Pracademic". Bring your questions for the Q&A following her presentation.
Some of Dr. Ebenade's talking points will be:
- Action research is a journey and not a destination
- As a continuous journey of improvement, Dr. Ebenade will discuss the steps she has taken to transition from a practitioner to becoming an active pracademic.
- How can we move out of our comfort zones to where big things happen?
- Tools and resources to support us in the journey of becoming.
Bio: Dr. Kesiena M. Ebenade is a pracademic who has worked in the public and private sector. She currently works as an organisational development consultant in the public sector and lectures part-time with the National College of Ireland in the School of Business. She earned her PhD in Organisational Development from the University of Bolton, UK. Her research interests are action research, learning organisation, organisational & talent development, leadership development, mentoring and coaching. Her article published in the Kybernetes Journal won the Highly Commended Emerald Literati Award for Excellence.
This is the second event of a 4 part mental health workshop series in 2021organized by Women in Research Ireland and funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry Inclusion and Diversity Fund.
