We are delighted to announce our first music project of 2017. We have teamed up with Lillies Bordello and taken inspiration from the Moulin Rouge to bring you a night of great entertainment followed by a very special playlist. A night in which we’ll be featuring the movie's old classic numbers and contemporary songs.
Come along and join us! Its sure to be a fantastic night!
The Moulin Rouge Inspired Night will feature singers, Alex Montemor & Maria Lola Roche, Robson Rocha + band & special guests.
The night will kick off at 8.15pm, in the exclusive VIP Library Room in Lillie's Bordello, which you will have full access to on the night.
Tickets are €10 + fee if you book on Eventbrite this price includes access to nightclub after live performance, so booking in advance is highly recommended - as this is an exclusive event and we only have a limited number of tickets available.
ALEX MONTEMOR BIOGRAPHY
Alexandra Montemor is a Brazilian/Italian mezzo soprano based in Dublin. She has performed throughout her whole life being part of event cover bands, choirs and performing solo acoustic sets at corporate and private functions in Brazil.
Alex moved to Dublin in 2008 and in 2009 joined The Riptorns an Irish alternative rock band. The band was known for their high tempo rock tunes comprising of melodic vocals and beefy guitar riffs and pointed to Foo Fighters as their main influence. They played Dublin’s most renowned venues such as: Whelan's, The Village, The Sugar Club, Crawdaddy and The Button Factory.
The band won 2 rounds of the Guinness Our Thursday's battle of the bands to go on to headline Arthur's Day in 2010. They also supported Aslan on a number of dates of their 2011 Irish tour. They premiered their 1st single "Crawling" on Radio Nova's Local's Only show on Sunday August 7th 2011.
Alex’s recent work has seen her perform at Sugar Club for Brown Thomas X-Factor Corporate Event in 2013, Shelbourne Hotel for The Hope Foundation Charity Fashion Show in 2014 and private functions held at Lillie’s Bordello’s Library in 2016.
MARIA LOLA ROCHE BIOGRAPHY
Maria Lola Roche is an Irish Couturier, Artist and Mezzo Soprano. Maria’s debuting art collection launched the Ranelagh Arts Festival, along with the late iconic Hollywood actress, Maureen O’Hara. Maria recently was chosen by Image Magazine as one of there 40 under 40 inspiring women in Ireland, along with other Irish Hollywood actress’s and CEO’s. She was named UCD Young Designer of the Year as voted by Stellar Magazine, and was asked back to be a judge in the competition afters. In 2012, Maria presented New Order a Phantom FM ‘Greatest Songs of all Time’ Award. Natalie Curtis has one of Maria’s paintings in her private collection.
Maria Lola Roche also was the first ever Irish designer to be nominated top five for the prestigious world, Designer for Tomorrow Award and has already garnered international acclaim. On the international jury was Tommy Hilfiger, who succeeded Stella McCartney from the previous year, and editors from British Vogue, German Vogue and InStyle Magazine, along with luxury department store Peek&Cloppenburg. Maria debuted her first collection “Poetry of Dissection” at Berlin fashion week. Her next couture collection ‘Lovers Exile‘, was asked to showcased in the five star Hotel Atlantic for a exclusive Deichmann media awards ceremony. Currently Maria Lola Roche couture is stocked in luxury store Só Collective in Kildare Village and FNF on Exchequer Street, Dublin.
ROBSON ROCHA BIOGRAPHY
Robson Rocha started his career in the Music industry in 1989 Santos, Brazil, and in 2006 he moved to Dublin, Ireland to further his studies in Music where he still lives today. While in Europe, Robson took part in several projects involving Brazilian and Latin music. Currently, he is sideman to one of the greatest Irish icons from the 80's, Gavin Friday, with whom he has performed in Belgium, Holland and Ireland at the most important music events and festivals. In May 2012 Robson earned his Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance from Newpark Music Centre. He dedicates part of his time teaching students of all ages, and sharing his knowledge and passion for different music genres such as Brazilian, Latin, Jazz, Rock and Blues.
