My Place in Space
Sun 13 November 2016, 18:00 – 19:00 GMT
My Place in Space, created for families from the very old (70 +) to the very young (2yrs +), is a highly
interactive event that tells the story of our place in Space, where Dr. Niamh Shaw takes the audience
from the smallest thing to the furthest reaches of the Observable Universe, making our Solar System,
smashing atoms, creating a human Carbon model and seeing how we are truly made from Star dust.
Merging Astrophysics with Particle physics, this 45 minute interactive event is aimed for everyone in
the family, where you are sure to learn at least one new thing about your place in Space, no matter
how old you think you are.
