Who can participate?

Software developers, Data analysts, tech entrepreneurs, users of LLMs, AI enthusiasts, and anybody who can support their teams with strong business acumen and presentation skills.

Can I participate as an individual?

Accepted Answer

We encourage you to build in teams of maximum 8 people. If you do not have a team, email us and we will do our best to assign you to a team. We however cannot promise this in all cases.

Question 3

On the Order Form, for where I heard about the Challenge, can I mention my coding network ?

Accepted Answer

Yes, tell us where you heard about the Challenge, or if you are part of a coding community. Select from the dropdown menu - this helps us highlight the winning teams' coding communities.

Question 4

What do we need to bring with us on 5th September on the in-person day?

Accepted Answer

You would have sent your presentation slides the previous event. Do bring your laptop, and any documentation you prepared while building your project. Facilitators and evaluators will be curious to understand the work that you have put in.

What do winning teams get?

Accepted Answer

Top teams will be invited to the National AI Meet in Galway on 18th September where they will showcase their  work to senior leadership team members from the likes of Workday, Millennium, Boston Scientific, Logitech, Jaguar Land Rover among others. Win certificates and Google and OpenAI credits

Who is organising the AI Challenge?

Accepted Answer

TechIreland organises the AI Challenge with support from Enterprise Ireland, Data2Sustain EDIH, Google and OpenAI, and leading organisations like Workday, InsTech.ie, Liberty IT, ITAG, Eirmersive, WorkIQ, Dogpatch Labs, Portershed, RDI Hub, Republic of Work, IMR, Walton Institute, and +30 partners.

Question 8

Can we present remotely?

Accepted Answer

You can work with your teams remotely from the 22nd Aug to 4th Sep. You are expected to attend the in-person day on 5th Sep at the Hub venue of your choice to present your project to industry experts and evaluators.

Question 9

Do we get access to facilitators or experts who can support?

Accepted Answer

Yes, experts from Google, OpenAI and other tech companies will be part of the kick off meeting and AI Challenge webinars. Leading sector experts, VCs, researchers and industry leaders will speak on the webinar, and support with queries on Slack. You can network with them.
